Who
Mona Miliner is a native of Dayton, Ohio who grew up in a family surrounded by musicians and singers. As a singer and musician in her own right, Mona is also a passionate and seasoned health care executive. With over 27 years of industry experience, Mona has earned some of the most distinct professional health care credentials in the industry. She is a two-time graduate from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Mona has served on local, regional, state and national boards and has proven to be a life-long learner. Her track record of masterfully helping others reach their career goals gives her meaning and purpose in life.
Mona attributes her upbringing and strong spiritual foundation as the key that has shaped her today and helps drive “why” she does “what" she does and “how” she does it. Whether it’s speaking at a conference, leading teams, mentoring, coaching, or using her musical gifts, Mona believes that everyone has unique talents the world is waiting on.
Graduate
A graduate of Ohio University, Mona holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in health care administration and management. She is a fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) and American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). She is also a licensed nursing home administrator in the State of Ohio.
Recognition & Honor
Mona was recently elected to ACHE’s Council of Regents as a representative of Pennsylvania. She was featured nationally by MGMA’s Volunteer Spotlight for her contributions on the National American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE) Certification Commission. In 2021, she was presented with the Senior Healthcare Executive ACHE Regent’s Award in Pennsylvania. In 2019, Ohio University presented her with its Medal of Merit Award for achieving distinction in her chosen field. She also was presented in 2019 with the ACHE Regent Award for Outstanding Service in Ohio.
Servant
Mona has served in leadership positions on local, state and national boards with the American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE), American College of Medical Practice Executives’ (ACMPE) Certification Commission, Ohio Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), Ohio University Alumni Board for the College of Health Sciences and Professions just to name a few.
To round out Mona’s experience, she has also served on other community volunteer boards like the Cincinnati Ballet Board of Trustees, The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati Board of Trustees, and was a “Loaned Executive” for the United Way of Greater Cincinnati campaign. And to no surprise, Mona graduated from the Artswave BoardWay Bound Program. Mona is also a graduate of the Leadership Ohio Program and The Urban League of Greater Cincinnati African-American Leadership Development Program.
One of Mona's greatest accomplishments is being a mother of 4 adult children who are excelling in their industries including human resource management, health care administration, finance, and communications. They are also creatives and leaders who actively pursue other outlets to exercise their gifts like entrepreneurship, dancing, painting, singing and much more.
